Change Is Good (2006)

A one-page doc created in October 2006,

A personal note to friends in and out of work, around the world, who are in a “turbulent situation”

Now along with the Frog… below, a 2026 de-identified version is also available.

The Frog in Boiling Water (2026)

Here I was sitting on a Saturday morning reflecting a bit over our life in Texas, USA(f) (the fascists [era]), that we really like with dear friends and a great life all around (on “micro” level) but at the same time the (US, Texas) world around us is falling apart, with crazy dysfunctional/doing-all-to-dismantle democracy, governance for business not people, healthcare for women among worse in the industrialized world and further deteriorating, guns to every moron, let the companies take as much electricity and water as they need [for the hundreds of data centers built and plans to be built], different judicial system for rich and poor, and more (on “macro” level).

And my thoughts went to “we’re like those frogs sitting in boiling water”, and as sat in front of the computer with ChatGPT at hand….

Created an actually rather impressive – AND functional – basic infographic in just 4 prompts!

“The Frog in Boiling Water – a J&P+ChatGPT Original” infographic is a great example of AI.

#1, me> “groda i kokande vatten, tecknad”   (Swedish, ‘frog i boiling water, cartoon’)
<graphic #1 by ChatGPT>
#2, me> “infografik”      (Swedish, ‘infographic’)
<graphic #2 by ChatGPT>
#3, me> “mer humoristisk tecknad”   (Swedish, ‘more humorously drawn’)
<graphic #3 by ChatGPT>
#4, me> “The last one but in English”
<graphic #4 by ChatGPT>

I.e., in just 4 prompts:

  • A quite good infographic about “How small changes can cook you alive” (exactly from the infographic). Includling:
  • Section “How It Works”, with fun illustrative frogs when it’s getting hotter.
  • Section “What Can We Learn?” – with actually good tips on things to think around.
  • Section “Key takeway”
  • ..

Altogether an actually really well-working infographic on the topic of Change.

Done in about 10 minutes from start to finishing.

Then final touch-ups in Word with some complementary own notes.
