Friday – Saturday 2013-05-24 – 25. Driving down in the morning (leaving Walling at 06:09, arrive at Domain Parkside 09:56, 3 hr 10 min actual driving plus a stop for breakfast. Drove 203 mi / 327 km.
Looked at seven complexes, three in the The Domain area and four additional nearby on other side (west) of MoPac – one of the big highways.
Narrowed it down to two choices – #2 and #8 in table above.

The Estate on Quarry Lake
(Monday 2013-05-27, Memorial Day holiday) In the end, decide on one of the first units we looked at on Estate on Quarry Lake – the smaller, on first floor, with hard floors (no carpets!).
Area in general is great!! Lots of trees, walking distance to the quarry, Pure Austin (health club), Roaring Fork (restaurant), and shopping centers.
Good price, with W/D included
They offer a Home Purchase Protection Plan, for early termination ($750)
~ 3 miles to P’s work
Not the city-style living (like The Domain apartments)
Parking? (Do offer reserved, covered, parking – $30/mon)
