DESCRIPTION
qlmanage allows you to test your Quick Look generators and manage Quick Look Server.

The following usages are available:

1. qlmanage -r resets Quick Look Server and all Quick Look client's generator cache.

2. qlmanage -m gets all sort of information on Quick Look server including the list of detected generators.

3. qlmanage -t displays the Quick Look generated thumbnails (if available) for the specified files.

4. qlmanage -p displays the Quick Look generated previews for the specified files.

5. qlmanage -h displays extensive help.

Tried moving it outside app (moved BetterZipQL.qlgenerator out of app, directly in $HOME/Library/QuickLook/, restarting w/ qlmanage) but not been able get to work.
Guess it maintains some internal dependencies to other things inside the .app.)
Oh, btw, using qlmanage -r hasn’t work to reload properly but enabling (‘installing’, ‘(re)loading’) this qlgenerator seems to require starting the app itself.

Not sure exactly what this one does but it still IS in $HOME/Library/QuickLook/, Jan 2022. And a quick lately updated for that matter, timestamp 2022-01-01 per Jan 13th.

Assume the generator DO create the previews that actually may be seen, after a while depending on networking, for (some) Smart Sync > Online Only files. At least images seems to get QuickLook preview also when ‘only in cloud’.

(Jan 2022: CAN’T get – yet – to work on macOS 12 Monterey. On the other side, not that surprising as QL has changed quite a lot, already in earlier macOS releases than 12.)
