Examples of more impressive results, that surprised me, at the time / era of doing work in question. (Need that emphasizes as technology is so quickly evolving that what was seriously impressive at one time can easily be daily stuff ‘now’.)
Digging into the software’s source code to find the solution, 2026-03-27
[2026-03-27, ChaGPT, 5.4 gen., $20/mon – plan]
Q: “I’ve been using GitHub – Orangenhain/MS-Natural-Keyboard-HID-Handler- Using IOKit to enable the special keys on a Microsoft Natural Keyboard. for years but now can’t access reconfiguration dialog, what can I do to get that back?”
Result:
- It (ChatGPT) really had to work for this one, ‘Thought for 37s’ – 37 seconds, quite long for ‘small’ tasks like this.
- Though, it wasn’t small, as no direct solution was found in ‘normal’ sources on the Internet (web sites) but …:
- … ChatGPT found the solution by digging down into the source code (for the open source software this is, in GitHub repository)
- From that I posted question into ChatGPT to that I had performed steps explained to me, I had it all working as earlier in just about 2 minutes, and this including ChatGPTs 37 seconds thinking.
And all this is:
- For a software created 2011, around 15 years ago in 2026
- Last changed 13 years ago (in 2026)
- Still working great!
- Though have had to recompile myself for Apple ARM architecture when Apple introduced this.
- For continuing using my Microsoft Ergo 4000 keyboards, ‘best keyboard ever‘. (That I’ve been using since around 2008, Microsoft discontinued 2019, but I still have a number in use.)
Cleaning up photos, especially kitchen chair, 2026-03-28
First photo wasn’t a real challenge fro ChatGPT, as seen quite a number of great cleanups.

But, THIS NEXT…
Chairs in storage, standing a bit on top of each other, lots of other stuff…

Pretty impressive, I would say!
